The spread of viral infections is of course a great concern for us all. It’s not possible to know the extent this will develop or when it will diminish. Individually we must all make our own decisions on taking precautions.
Commercially Antonelli is well placed with circa 30 million ice cream cones in stock and the ability to make even quicker than ever as a new oven is being installed in the coming weeks. So you can rest assured that you will be able to purchase all your wafer, sugar and waffle cones from us inspite of the current Covid-19 outbreak.
For ingredient product from Italy, there are some restrictions with transport, at this stage due to panic buying from many countries with a limited number of lorries. MEC3 are producing double shift and we have a good stock position of ingredients which will, depending on demand, last for a significant period.
Antonelli is following general commercial advice in restricting none essential persons visiting our bakery and Gelato Academy. We will continue with our scheduled ice cream training courses and customer One 2 One development days in the Academy, taking all reasonable precautions. If individuals decide not to attend that will be a decision we will respect and understand.
